Under the baton of Music Director & Conductor Gary Lewis, the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale (MOSC) is enriching lives through music in the Permian Basin area.
Unique, compared to similar orchestras throughout the United States, the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale includes a symphony orchestra, a chorale and a youth choir along with three resident instrumental ensembles.
The Chorale under the direction of Greg Pysh currently has 80 talented and dedicated members who rehearse weekly and perform four concerts per season.
The Voices of the Permian Basin Youth Choir under the direction of Emily Baker features 70 young singers between the ages of 8-14, who rehearse weekly and enjoy performing two concerts per season.
The instrumental ensembles - Lone Star Brass, Permian Basin String Quartet, and West Texas Winds - perform with the Symphony as principal musicians and in two annual recitals, in-school performances for elementary students, lunch time concerts and many other MOSC events.
